1. I adored your previous books about Bronwyn the Witch. Will there be more in this series or you’ve hung up the witch’s hat? Please tell us about THE DEMON KING AND I and your follow up book? ( **Also, if you pick up this book you’ll find there’s a little part especially written for Kristen and I!** )
I hope I haven’t hung up the hat on Bronwyn. I love her and the gang in Sweet, Texas. I would love to write more of those books. I will say I love my Caruthers’ sisters just as much. From the outside, they look like a bunch of wealthy heiresses who have the world in their hands. They are really Guardian Keys, who protect our world from those who would do it harm. They are strong, and like all of my heroines, can kick some butt. Gillian is the oldest and she protects our world from demons. When she meets the new demon king, Arath, her life changes forever. He’s hot, not-so scaly, and she wants him bad. Of course, there’s a big bad trying to take over the universe that is keeping Gillian and her sisters busy.
2. How are you able to balance a full-time job with life, writing, promo, workshops, etc? You’re truly a super heroine with everything you manage to juggle! Please share your secrets!
Some days I do it better than others. My kids are always my biggest priority and the rest falls into place from there. I work a lot of hours, but I love what I do and that makes a difference. I’m also very focused when it comes to work.
3. Would you ever consider writing in another genre besides paranormal or do you think that this is the one you plan on sticking with?
I have some proposals out that aren’t paranormal, so we’ll see what happens. I love writing all genres, and pushing myself to try things that are out of my comfort zone.
4. How did you react when you got ‘the call’? What did you do?
After screaming and saying, “Are you sure?” about a dozen times, I called everyone I knew. It is still one of the greatest days of my life.
5. If you weren’t a writer what would career path would you choose?
I was a journalist before I was a novelist, and I’m still doing it. I love what I do. There’s nothing like starting with nothing and turning it into a story, whether it’s fiction or non-fiction.
6. What advice would you offer to the unpublished romance writer?
Keep a good attitude about this business. It can break you down, but you can’t let it. Always keep moving forward with your writing, and learn your craft. I still take classes, and I learn something every time I do.
7. What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
Wow! I have no idea. I do have this secret desire to be do a voice over for a cartoon. Wouldn’t that be cool?
